Southern California Regionals Prep.

Received my official invite to the 2011 Southern California Regionals last night. I am, once again, really excited for this event. I am also curious to see how I measure up against the best in our region, considering my CrossFitting abilities have improved. However, I'm not naive about the fact that my fellow competitors have also improved.

I am back into the full swing of training. I am focusing some of my attention on the barbell snatch, some gymnastic skills I haven't quite mastered, and my running. I will be utilizing workouts from CrossFit Mission Gorge, CrossFit main-site, and CrossFit Endurance.

Other than training things at "work" have been going great. Our CFK program has been fun. The children in our CFK class are fearless. They love jumping and climbing on most objects that some of our adults fear. I am happy with how much they have learned, they are fast learners, and how much they love coming to CFMG.

Our CFK charter program has also been an amazing experience. I get the opportunity to work with around 30+ children who otherwise might not have the opportunity to utilize a program like CFK. The workouts we do are simple yet effective. I get constant reports from their teachers who tell me how the children are working on air squats, push-ups, etc. on their own.

Some of the children in our Charter School program. Yes, some of them are taller than me :).

I would also like to wish Team CFMG luck as they are preparing to compete in the Southern California Regionals as a team. You guys have put in some hard work and it has all paid off. I hope we can keep this momentum leading up to regionals.
