Don't end-up like this guy. "Keep workouts short and intense....." - Greg Glassman
I laugh now when I see Facebook posts or overhear people talking about how often or long they are in the gym and blah blah blah. Then a couple of weeks later they are complaining about being "broken down" or unable to make progress. I realize that it is difficult psychologically (see above) for people to understand that they do not need to train everyday for extended amounts of time, but if only they knew how easy it was to incorporate at least two recovery days per week.
So you've heard it hear first, you DO NOT need to be training everyday in order to achieve:
- New levels of fitness
- The body of your dreams
- New levels of health
- More strength
- More endurance
Just to name a few :).
In other news, my own training has been going well. Rested on Monday, Endurance WOD and CFMG WOD on Tuesday, and Strength WOD/CFMG WOD on Wednesday. I also set a new two rep PR on thrusters this past Wednesday of 228#. Well above my old one rep PR of 215#.
I've been training with one of my athletes, friend, and training partner "Big" Ian. Both of us our headed to Regionals as individuals. It's been great to train with someone who keeps me on my toes and helps push me to the "next level". * I recommend you find someone to keep you on your toes when training.

"Big" Ian
Overall I feel a lot better compared to the last two weeks of Sectionals. I'm planning on better performances on the Regional level.
