Currently I am holding strong in 47th place, a four-way tie if I remember correctly. I did this particular WOD three times. Yes, you read that right, three times. First time I did it I felt great. I hit 7 rounds + 6 double unders. The second time I did it I did not improve my score. I chalked that up to not being mentally prepared, as it was done after coaching two classes, a rushed warm-up, and having to validate another athlete (excuses, I know.) The third time I played around with a new strategy and it paid off. I finished the WOD with 7 rounds + 30 double unders + 2 power snatches. One of my coaches told me to "put a stamp on that WOD", and I did.
Overall I am happy with my performance on this first WOD and I look forward to seeing what HQ releases next. My Guess, something with pull-ups?
Training-wise things have been going well. I recently PR'd on "Jackie" (1000m row, 50 thrusters (45#), and 30 pull-ups for time). I won't post all the workouts I've been doing, but I have been following a blend of CFMG's program and The Main Site. I feel great and I am ready for the next sectional WOD.
