Some have asked how I eat. I have a Paleo mindset but I am not 100% Paleo (lighting strikes). I do drink milk occasionally, I do use a powdered protein supplement (Promasil), and I do cheat (I try to avoid gluten). That being said, one of the ways I measure my progress is by how I look, feel, and perform. I gain great insight into how my nutrition and/or programming is effecting my body by using this simple assessment.

Look: Use a mirror and ask yourself, "How do I look?"and "How do I look compared to 1 month ago, six months ago, a year.....?"
Feel: Feel like sh*t? Feel Great? Can't sleep? Can't eat? Lacking bowel movements? Too many bowel movements? It's pretty easy to figure out if you are having some sort of health/nutrition related issues. I'm not trying to simplify health, but I do believe most are over-complicating health.
Perform: Did your workout suck today? Have your workouts sucked the entire week? Month? How do you compare to other athletes?
Simple questions to gain great insight.
